The surfaces of these paintings, generally three to five feet in size, are created by the use of sand, stones and durable natural mineral pigments bound by an archival acrylic medium to primed quality canvas. The effect is a three-dimensional surface, with a sculptural relief to the touch.

The heavily textured surfaces effectively suggest a cave wall. The images are re-creations of authentic images from the earliest cave paintings known to modern man, rendered in archival oil pigments.
