As a Mountain Photographer my job was to photograph our customers and link their photo to their ski pass.
This sounds simple enough but after the equipment provided by a 3rd party continuously failed I decided to use my skills to create a new more reliable version of the hardware.
This lead me to create a 3D printed RFID/NFC scanner which could read a customers pass and attach their pass data to the photo's EXIF in a format ready for perisher to add to their photo servers.
This taught me a lot about hardware design, Python, REST APIs and Camera EXIF data.
